What are Go Paddle Days?

The Go Paddle Days is a PTC initiative to spread the word and make participation accessible for as many people as possible across North America. Through shared marketing, resources and industry collaboration these days aim to put paddle sports in the front of people's minds and to give everyone an opportunity to easily try paddlesports. It is also a platform for the passionate drivers of the industry, whether they be individuals, clubs, instructors, retailers or outfitters to share their love and connection with paddlesports and the outdoors.

The outcome of this will be increased awareness and participation as the initiative unfolds and grows in the coming years. Further securing and reinforcing our passion driven industry.

How?

With support from the PTC and manufacturers the goal is to make this an easy-to-execute event with maximum visibility for an output that fits your organization. The PTC and manufacturers are committed to promoting partner events on a large scale so maximum eyes on what you are making available. The Go Paddle Day will be an aggregation of resources from the best businesses and minds in the industry to get as many people on the water in paddle craft as possible.

For our industry and businesses to thrive in the long term we need to get bums in boats and the Go Paddle Days are democratizing the process and engaging clubs, organizations and individuals to help get more people out on the water.

Why?

Now more than ever we as an industry need to engage with new and existing participants on a tactile level. This is an often overwhelming task for outfitters and retailers running busy businesses in the summer, which unfortunately does not make it any less important. Simply put, we need to show not tell people the physical, mental health and social benefits that paddle sports can provide. I cannot think of a more important why than that!

Levels of Participation

We know that not all organizations have the community or capacity to run giant events, but we want everyone to feel as though they can be engaged and successful in creating an event or movement around getting more people on the water.
